Inverornan to Kinlochleven

Yesterday we covered nearly 19 miles crossing Rannoch Moor and scaling the Devil’s Staircase. The weather was beautiful and the scenery amazing. We saw Ben Nevis for the first time. 60 miles gone 33 to go.

The mountains and valleys all have beautiful sounding names which are spelled entirely differently to their pronunciation. Why the MacDonalds choose to base themselves in Glencoe, the only one the English armies could ask directions to, is beyond me. Glenhailegebrselassie would have been a much better bet.

Today it is bucketing down so we are doing the shortest leg, Tyndrum to Bridge of Orchy, a mere 6 miles.

Today is also diagnosis day. At 11.53am I will have wreaking havoc on this condition for ten years. I march on
