21/08/2010 Voluptuous Vicki :: Fallen Behind

Again fallen behind with my blogging… along side my housework, ironing ,paying bills etc…..what is going on???

I have the concentration of a gnat

aI used to consume books like sweets but now very rarely pick one up…unless it’s a catalogue and i can spend!!!!!

The side effects of my meds are smacking me in the face again……have this ‘devil may care’ attitude- know how poor eve felt in the garden of eden- but in my case you can stick your granny smiths- temptation would be vodka, fags, new frockette , slut shoes or some handsome totty and id be putty in ol’nicks hands!

I constantly look / crave excitement and instant gratification….. I know longer love sat night in front of the telly with ant n dec or casualty eating revels in my winceyette jarmies…..i want to be out getting bladdered  !

Sat night was the first night I’d been out in Hexham for 3weeks and i had a fab night when we eventually got out!!! Held up by the love of James’ life getting ratted and needed rescuing! ( long story) but after much puke clearing up and getting her home , my ‘twin’/fellow Gemini Helen ‘hit The Heart’ at half nine!

Now for those who are not familiar with Hexham’s nightlife, the heart is a strange pub- I love it!!! Though God knows why!!! maybe it’s the fact they have karaoke and i get to sing ‘proud Mary’ and they clap even though I’m tone deaf? Proud Mary was followed later by the “Blaydon Races”- a duet with a canny old bod who sang it word perfectly and passionately – I was just silly and feel guilty now! He then asked me if I had Romany blood!!! wtf!!! Apparently he says I have, can tell by looking at me- not sure if that’s a compliment or not!! Or referral to my hair on Saturday which due to looking after inebriated teenagers I hadn’t had time to wash and looked like I’d been dragged through a whinny bush backwards.

The other Friday night I went to  a charity do for our little Anya- my great niece. A group of fellas from my sis-in-law, Lesley’s work –Handels Bank_ did the coast to coast bike ride in one day, - always touches me when strangers are willing to do something amazing to help. It made me  wonder if I should do it……then realised im too unfit to go uphill and scared to go down- so unless it was in Holland i’d be knacked!

Lesleys colleagues were fab, have to say was emotional and many a tear was shed but cheered up enormously by the free bar, including champagne and yumcious buffet.

Which brings me to my lovely friends clare and lee- who so bravely did a skydive for the ‘cure parkie Trust’- words cannot begin to explan how I feel about this………..enough to say I am eternally grateful and honoured and immmensley proud to have such friends ……..much love xxxx

Again emotions were running high- howled that much I had to have a 2hr siesta! I am truly in awe of people who want to help me fight the fight…..after all it’s relative …me having parkies does not affect their life but obviously something about me has made them willing to scare the shite out of them!!!!

I felt sick watching but so honoured x they both loved it and the pictures and video were amazing and very emotional.
Quite a few of the treetops posse (our ward) turned out to watch and the bubbly was cracked open .

Clare and Lee – what can I say except a massive huge thank you from the bottom  of my heart – I will never forget xxxxxxxxx
What else ………hmmmmmmmmmmmm

Work has been interesting to say the least! Have  I done the right thing?????????? Know I have had conflict of interests shall we say….culminating in a very distressing meeting where I tried to resign………

But after calming down and reading what my patients/families think ive decided to hang on in and use the critisicm constructively and not so negatively …………if I had my time again would I do it? YES!!!!!!!!!! But I am slowing down from the galloping loon to a strolling chillaxed pace.

Am struggling at times to hold it all together – house, kids, dog, work ,partying……..i know damm well what I need to do……….shame im such a stubborn mare that I refuse to tell anyone else…………..

Till next time
